Tailgating…

For she stood, alone,
and her beauty dripped from her shoulders
like the rain did from her hair,
and droplets of love tainted her blouse,
casting ribbons of light,
brightly shining gold.
She looked up and her eyes drew me in,
beckoning to my soul,
Come, follow me,
and I followed,
much too closely,
unable to look away.
Her name appeared in my mind.
Simply beautiful is all she’ll ever be.
