Thirsty.

You really are a talented writer,
pouring the words from your heart,
like drops of water from the tap.
If you pour the words out
one by one,
drop by drop,
it would take you forever,
or so it would seem.
But if you pour them out,
glass by glass,
you can fill a bucket real soon.
It seems that you are filling
a bucket of love for your girl,
poem by poem.
She is a very lucky woman
to have found someone
to love her the way you do.
Right heart, wrong woman?
Maybe.
Right heart, right woman…
Maybe.
Write a bucketful…
fill it up,
day by day.

I wish someone wrote these things for me.
I would drink deeply,
devouring each word,
savoring the taste of it,
letting it roll across my tongue,
drip down my throat,
and satisfy the craving that drives me….
